Chilliwack General Hospital is a 169 bedded community hospital, whose role is to provide primary, core secondary, and some specialty services.Â
The hospital can be accessed with or without a referral, for 24/7 emergency and acute care, general and internal medicine, cardiac care, obstetrics, general surgery and certain surgical subspecialties, inpatient and outpatient care, and more.Â
It is also classified as an Affiliated Region Centre allowing it to be a training facility for the Family Medicine Residency Program that is offered via the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine.
Over many years the Rotary Club of Chilliwack has contributed to various hospital programs and initiatives including a new CT scanner and the expansion of the ER in 2011.
