In order to serve a diverse array of community initiatives, the Rotary Club of Chilliwack offers community project grants in the range of $500-$2,500. A Rotary Grant does not need to fund a full project, and therefore partial project funding is considered.

Eligible community projects must:

Be consistent with Rotary Values (Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity and Leadership) AND benefit the Chilliwack community at large, a significant number of citizens, or smaller groups in special circumstances

Priority will be given to funding requests that are for:

One-time funding AND tangible goods or creations that can be used for more than one year or by more than one group

Funding requests for subgroups of large organizations should be directed through the parent organization. Schools and teachers must direct their applications through one of the Principals or Vice Principals.

Projects that would normally be funded by other sources such as government(s), school districts, etc., will only be considered if funded in cooperation with other funding sources or matching grants. These details should be noted in the application.

Financial statements, project plans, supporting documents or more information, or other documents may be requested in support of applications.

Service projects should clearly identify opportunities to recognize the Rotary Club of Chilliwack on promotional material, newsletters, social media, etc. Logos are available upon request for this use.

The following requests are NOT eligible for a Rotary Grant:

Fundraising – Sales Ventures – Annual Campaigns – Reduction of Debts – Travel Costs – Social Events – Catering – Operational CostsÂ
